Keith Callahan has more than 30 years of experience in health care administration and supply chain. He has two master’s degrees from Washington University in St. Louis: one in business administration and the other in health care administration. Throughout his career in the health care industry, Mr. Callahan has served in a variety of progressively responsible positions including chief executive officer of a 400-bed hospital in Illinois and vice president of operations for the predecessor organization to Premier, a national group purchasing organization.
In his current role, Mr. Callahan has oversight of $4 billion of contracted spend in supply and pharmacy; purchased services; IT contracting; and the ongoing operations of the materials management module for the system-wide enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. His experience and leadership have been instrumental to the success of several initiatives that support Dignity Health facilities through the coordination of a complete resource management program that leverages purchase volume; procedural consistency; data collection and analytics; and the integration of best practices.
Mr. Callahan also serves as the chief executive officer for Dignity Health Purchasing Network, LLC.
