The Emerging Physician Leader Award and Scholarship was established in 2018 by the Health Care Without Harm Physician Network, recognizing the importance of mentoring and supporting the next generation of physician sustainability champions.
The award recognizes a medical student, resident, or fellow who has demonstrated a passion for sustainable health care or a commitment to climate and health leadership. Award winners will receive a full CleanMed 2020 registration, accommodations for three nights at the conference hotel, and a travel stipend for transportation to and from the conference.
Last year, thanks to our generous donors, we were able to award two scholarships. Learn about our inaugural Emerging Physician Leader Award winners Drs. Hilary Ong and Emily Sbiroli. This year our goal is to raise enough funds to provide four scholarships.
A committee from Health Care Without Harm and the Physician Network Advisory Committee will select this year’s recipients of the Emerging Physician Leader Award and Scholarship.
Please support the next generation of health care sustainability leaders by making a donation to the Emerging Physician Leader and Award Scholarship Fund.
