Cecilia leads the Sector Performance team at Practice Greenhealth, where she is working to refine key performance metrics for sustainability in the health care sector while also creating the tools and guidance to support members in assessing, measuring and benchmarking sustainability performance. Cecilia authors Practice Greenhealth’s annual Sustainability Benchmark Report, oversees the Environmental Excellence Awards program and provides support and technical assistance to a portfolio of member hospitals–including Catholic health systems and federal facilities.

Cecilia is a subject matter expert on sustainable operations in health care and has been guiding hospitals and health systems on the development of customized sustainability and change management strategies for more than 20 years. She is an accomplished public speaker and trainer, and builds support and awareness for sustainable health care through targeted speaking engagements, stakeholder engagement, social media and outreach. Cecilia has a BS in Environmental Science, an MBA from The George Washington University with a focus in corporate social responsibility and health care administration, and is a LEED-accredited professional.

Cecilia is passionate about making connections, finding common ground, seeing the glass as half full, and being a lifelong learner. In her downtime she enjoys running, gardening, outdoor family time in Michigan and West Virginia, getting creative with her husband and kids, and soaking up happiness.
