Senior Account Manager, Edison Energy
Curt Hurst is Senior Account Manager on the Edison Energy Sales and Account Management Team. As a young machinery engineer, he focused on large rotating machines, lowering the cost of producing industrial gases at Air Products including hydrogen for the space program. His experience included starting up several CHP facilities, which today would be micro-grids.
His desire to use technology to solve societal problems led him to lead a startup team for a waste to energy facility on Long Island. Curt became an executive in the waste to energy company with 6 facilities that were ultimately sold to Covanta Energy.
After a few years of running his own consulting company, he was asked to lead the outsourcing of a customer’s property management to CBRE; hiring EnerNOC to help him with procurement and demand response. Working with EnerNOC allowed Curt to bring his diverse background back to energy and account management and helped him hone in on his knowledge of energy data and demand response. Edison Energy’s focus on energy and risk allows him to work with clients to solve energy challenges big and small.
Curt graduated from Purdue University, with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering technology.
