Jan Villarante Bio Jan Villarante, MS, RDN has worked at Kaiser Permanente over the past 15 years and is currently the Director, National Nutrition Services. Her responsibilities include oversight of food contracting and procurement with a focus of sustainable and healthy food; developing and implementing nutritional initiatives for the organization; oversight of technology integration of food and nutrition applications within the organization to support the medical centers such as room service, healthy eating initiatives, farmer’s markets, and food related environmental initiatives and promoting sustainable food. Jan’s work history has been multifaceted having worked in non-profit, for-profit, government health care venues ranging from 50- 500 beds and a former state surveyor. Jan obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Psychology from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, PA and her Master’s Degree in Foods and Nutrition from Marywood University in Scranton, PA.
