Miranda Skaaning, MBA, LEED Green Associate is the Manager of Facilities Business and Sustainability at Parkland Health & Hospital System in Dallas. For the past 5 years, she has implemented, tracked and ensured continuity of sustainability programs at Parkland including 25 recycling streams, energy and water conservation efforts and LEED certification for new buildings. Miranda is currently creating a community garden to address food insecurities and inspire community members to take charge of their health. As a healthcare professional, she is passionate about improving quality of life through resource conservation, education and personal empowerment.
Miranda is an accredited LEED Green Associate and holds a Bachelor of Science in Sustainability Science from Furman University and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Texas at Dallas.
