Shanda Demorest, DNP, RN-BC, PHN graduated with her doctorate in Health Innovation and Leadership at the University of Minnesota, where she also earned a Certificate in Health Care Design and a minor in Horticulture. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota School of Nursing. She practices cardiovascular nursing at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital. Shanda is an active member of Minnesota-based Health Professionals for a Healthy Climate. She is also currently collaborating with the national organizations of Health Care Without Harm and Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments to lead the Nurses’ Climate Challenge: Educating 5,000 health professionals on climate and health.
