Who should submit?
CleanMed 2027 welcomes proposals from diverse perspectives and voices. We prioritize sessions led by speakers working directly in healthcare facility settings, with preference given to current Practice Greenhealth partners.
Proposals should share real-world solutions and lived experiences, elevate diverse voices and communities, and foster collaboration between hospitals and healthcare systems, product manufacturers and suppliers, and advocacy and community leaders – with direct takeaways that attendees can adapt and implement within their own organizations.
What we’re seeking:
- Real solutions that work: Share your successes, failures, and lessons learned – with clear data on what actually moves the needle.
- Collaboration in action: Showcase partnerships between departments, providers, industry partners, and communities that drive real change together.
- Equity-centered approaches: Deliver engaging sessions that center community voices and advance environmental justice.
- Interactive experiences: Break the lecture mold with hands-on learning, group activities, engaging formats, and thought-provoking STAT! Talks.
To guide your submission, please review our conference themes and content pathways below.
All presenters must register for the conference and attend in person.
Themes and content pathways
Your proposal must align with one or more of the following themes for CleanMed 2027.
Themes are intended to communicate the broader ideas and priorities we want to see reflected across the conference: leadership, collaboration, and progress.
Content pathways organize the program by subject matter to ensure the best fit for your presentation and allow attendees to build a tailored agenda that is relevant to their work.
Note: Content pathways serve as the primary structure for proposal submission and review. Select the pathway that best fits your proposal. Our review team will confirm or adjust as needed.
CleanMed 2027 themes
Theme 1: Executive leadership and governance for enterprise sustainability
Progress starts with people willing to lead. How can people at every level build the leadership, support, and structures needed to make sustainability part of how healthcare organizations set priorities and make decisions?
Theme 2: The power of networks and partnerships to accelerate change
Progress grows through connection and collaboration. How can healthcare organizations, professionals, suppliers, and other partners work together to move further and faster than they can alone?
Theme 3: Using data to cut through complexity and drive measurable results
Progress is amplified when we learn, adapt, and improve. How can we use data, evidence, and shared learning to make better decisions, demonstrate progress, and continuously improve?

Proposal guidelines & selection process
CleanMed prioritizes proposals that are relevant, practical, specific, and designed for the live conference experience. Strong proposals will:
- Address a clear challenge or opportunity and provide tangible actions that attendees can apply within their organizations
- Be grounded in real-world experience, evidence, results, or meaningful lessons learned rather than focused on broad awareness-building content
- Make intentional use of the live format and create value through deeper learning, interaction, discussion, storytelling, or peer exchange
How it works
- Potential presenters select the best, pathway, and format for their content, using the submission form to submit their proposal by September 10.
- CleanMed reviewers complete individual reviews and score proposals using specific criteria for their session format, then meet to discuss and finalize their recommendations.
- The Content & Design Team conducts a final cross-check of the recommended program to identify remaining gaps and further develop content where needed.
- Final program recommendations are approved through the CleanMed content governance process.
- Presenters will be notified via email from presentations@practicegreenhealth.org by October 20 if their proposal has been approved. If approved, they must register and book their hotel for CleanMed 2027 and attend in person.
