As you prepare for your trip to CleanMed, please know we’ve made updates to your CleanMed conference experience. Based on recent data and guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), state and local agencies, the Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City, and Practice Greenhealth/Health Care Without Harm health care professionals, we will be adhering to the following conference safety protocols.
The safety of all our registrants and conference attendees, as well as both CleanMed and hotel staff is of utmost importance to Practice Greenhealth/Health Care Without Harm. By attending CleanMed 2024 in Salt Lake City, UT, you agree to abide by, engage in, and respect individual choices for certain health and safety practices while attending the conference and other affiliated events.
Guiding principles
Practice Greenhealth and Health Care Without Harm support the following hallmarks of evidence-based safety:
Vaccination. As professionals in health care, we expect attendees to be vaccinated and appropriately boosted. Please help us provide a healthy, safe, and enjoyable CleanMed conference experience for all.
Hand washing and sanitizing. Use hand sanitizer throughout the conference and engage in recommended hand washing per CDC guidance. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the conference spaces.
Face coverings. Feel comfortable wearing a mask if you’d like. Wearing masks is highly recommended but optional, and you are responsible for providing your own mask. We’ll have a limited supply in case you forget a mask or leave it in your room and need one. Please check with the CleanMed registration desk when you’re on site.
Testing before CleanMed. We suggest testing within twenty-four(24) hours before your travel to CleanMed. If you test positive, the CDC recommends that you stay home for five (5) days and isolate from others in your home. Staying home to limit exposure, recuperate, and be comfortable is our recommended best practice also.
Testing at CleanMed. Drug stores and pharmacy options will be provided and we’ll have a limited supply of COVID-19 tests as needed. Please check with the CleanMed registration desk when you’re on site.
Enhanced cleaning. Frequent and improved cleaning will take place in the Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City and conference center. For more information, read about Hyatt’s Global Care & Cleanliness Commitment.

To ensure entry to the U.S. and upon return to your home country, international attendees should check current travel restrictions on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website before planning travel.
A statement on social issues in Salt Lake City
Health Care Without Harm and Practice Greenhealth believe we can have more impact by shining a light on issues rather than avoiding them. That’s why we chose to bring passionate people together for CleanMed 2024 in Salt Lake City, a community profoundly impacted by environmental health concerns, social injustices, and unequal health access.
Utah’s recent laws to ban gender-affirming care and impose strict limits on abortion access are harming the community and challenging health care providers. We understand that some of our valued partners may not travel to CleanMed due to policies within their workplace or personal convictions. We hear your concerns, share your frustration, and respect your decision. For those unable to attend the in-person event, we will be offering a virtual CleanMed experience.
