Fostering collective impact to build climate-smart, resilient, and equitable health care

Health care leaders, innovators, and changemakers: Your expertise is needed to accelerate the transformation to sustainable, low-carbon health systems. CleanMed 2026 brings together the brightest minds in health care sustainability on May 12-14 in St. Louis, and we want your voice to be part of this critical conversation.

From inspiration to implementation: Collaborative approaches and actionable strategies that move solutions forward.
Sustaining people and planet: How are you prioritizing well-being, resilience, and connection while driving climate-smart practices in your organization?
Equity at the center: Strategies for listening, learning, and leading alongside communities to ensure climate solutions are informed by lived experience and are truly just and sustainable.
Quantifying emissions reduction: Getting to 50% by 2030: Practical pathways to cut emissions with measurable cost savings, ROI, and operational efficiencies.
Supply chain transformation: Collaborative solutions for Scope 3 emissions and plastic waste, building transparency and shared accountability across medtech and food supply chains.
Climate-ready, resilient & equitable health systems: Tools and strategies for strengthening operational and community resilience through climate-forward emergency management and place-based interventions.

Equity-centered approaches: Sessions that center community voices and advance environmental justice.
Interactive experiences: Break the lecture mold with hands-on learning, group activities, and engaging formats, or quick-hitting STAT! Talks*.

In addition to traditional sessions, spotlight your story with STAT! Talks*: CleanMed’s high-energy, TED-style presentations during a plenary session where changemakers share bold ideas, urgent insights, or personal stories in just a few minutes. Designed to energize and inspire, these high-visibility spotlights put you in front of the entire CleanMed audience – 800+ health care leaders ready to act.

*STAT! Talks presenters must be health professionals and members of the Climate-Smart Collective.

Who should submit

We prioritize sessions featuring speakers working directly in health care facility settings, with preference given to current Practice Greenhealth partners. We especially welcome:

Cross-departmental collaborations (sustainability, supply chain, clinical services, leadership, community benefit)
Community-based partnerships
Solutions with measurable impact – including honest stories of what didn’t work
Supply chain innovations and resilience strategies
Diverse voices representing different regions, facility types, and demographics
Organizations at various stages of their sustainability journey
Voices suited to diverse formats – including workshops, case studies, and STAT! Talks that highlight bold solutions and lived experiences.
