Elevate your organization’s successes and achievements in the categories of resilience, equity, mitigation, and/or sustainability by participating in the Climate and Sustainability Impact Video Contest.
We are seeking creative video submissions that showcase your hospital or health system’s untold stories, unsung heroes, unique approaches, and transformative strategies to celebrate your accomplishments and share with the Practice Greenhealth network.
The contest submission deadline is 6 p.m. PT April 5, 2024.
Selected videos will be showcased during CleanMed’s Environmental Excellence Gala on May 23 in Salt Lake City.
What should your video focus on?
Your video should focus on your organization’s achievements in the categories of resilience, equity, climate change mitigation, and/or sustainability. Use your video to:
- Highlight unsung heroes – the people or teams you work with who are achieving extraordinary results.
- Share achievements or impacts your hospital or health system is having in your community that are making a difference.
- Show examples of how your hospital or health system is transforming the way it leads with sustainability and serves as an example in the community.
- Celebrate your successes – show what your team is doing that everyone should know about.
Submission guidelines & technical requirements
- Entrants should complete their entry and upload their video using the submission form at the bottom of this page.
- Start your video greeting the viewer with your name, title, and the name of the organization you represent.
- Share the initial challenges your organization faced, the actions your organization took to address those challenges, and successful outcomes.
- Videos must either be in high-quality MOV or MP4 format, in English, no larger than 2 GB, and between 60 and 90 seconds in length.
- Videos must be filmed horizontally.
- Video files should be named in the following format: “Video contest: [Your name-organization].”
Contest rules
- No purchase necessary to enter this contest; void where prohibited. This is a skill-based contest, not a game of chance. Selected videos will be chosen by the stated criteria.
- Eligibility: The contest is open to anyone who works for or in a health care institution.
- Only one video may be submitted per hospital or health system. Multiple submissions from a health system may be accepted as long as each featured story is unique and comes from a different hospital.
- Submission of multiple videos from the same health care institution will result in disqualification of all subsequently submitted videos. (For purposes of clarity, a health system may submit more than one video, but each video must be submitted by a different facility.)
- The video must be appropriate for all ages.
- No commercial content is permitted (e.g., music, video, animation). Evidence of rights will be verified before a video is selected.
- Agreement to official rules: Participation constitutes the entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these contest rules and sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the contest.
- Multiple winners may be selected.
How winners will be selected, notified & recognized
All videos will be reviewed by a panel of judges and CleanMed staff, who will select the winners. The story your video tells, sustainability impact, video quality, and overall message will be considered.
Contest winners will be contacted by email, and winning videos will be showcased during CleanMed’s Environmental Excellence Gala on May 23 in Salt Lake City.

FAQs
Q: My organization is not a hospital. Can I submit a video for this competition?
A: Not this year, but stay tuned. We may consider it for future years.
Q: My hospital is doing many amazing things. Can we submit more than one video?
A: Not this year. Submissions are limited to one video per hospital. However, different hospitals within a health system may each submit a separate video.
Q: We already have a video previously produced that fits the contest criteria. Can we submit that?
A: Yes, as long as your video meets the criteria, guidelines, and contest rules, and aligns with our recommendations for what you should focus your video on.
Q: I’m not able to attend CleanMed this year, but my hospital would like to submit a video. May we submit a video for the contest?
A: Yes.
